Dinner & Nightlife

For places to go at night, ask the Porches concierge.  Take a private shuttle to and from one of the many Restaurants and nightlife spots downtown Steamboat.

Skiing & Snowboarding

Steamboat Springs is known as "Ski Town USA" for very good reason!   Steamboat Ski Resort is a world-class 3,000 acre ski resort that is getting better every day due to an impressive slate of upgrades and new projects.  Our private shuttle will drop you off at our very own ski-in/ski-out location near the base of the gondola, and you will be amazed at how good Steamboat's ultra-dry, ultra-light champagne powder is!  In addition, Steamboat Springs is the home of Howelsen Hill, the oldest continually-operating ski area in the U.S., which offers skiing as well as numerous opportunities to watch Olympic hopefuls strut their ski-jumping stuff.

Backcountry Skiing

For a truly epic winter adventure, you can take a guided backcountry snowcat skiing trip with Steamboat Powdercats.  One of their skilled guides will escort your group out to an area of pristine untracked powder near Buffalo Pass, and you will be treated to a day of backcountry skiing that you will not soon forget!

Cross-Country Skiing

Cross-country skiing is both a great workout and a relaxing pastime, and offers an enjoyable change of pace from downhill skiing. There are hundreds of miles of cross-country ski trails in and around Steamboat Springs, including at the fantastic Steamboat Ski Touring Center, just up the hill from The Porches.  Also check out the Steamboat Nordic Center for information.

Hot Air Balloon Rides

One of the most unique winter experiences you can take part in is to float high above The Porches in a hot air balloon.  Wild West Balloon Adventures  offers early morning flights over the Yampa Valley, with breakfast and champagne included!

Hot Springs

Just 10 miles away from The Porches is Strawberry Park Hot Springs, one of the most beautiful mineral springs in Colorado.  Featuring pools of varying shapes, sizes, and temperatures, it is the perfect place to unwind after an intense day on the slopes.  Please be aware that clothing is optional after dark!  In addition, Old Town Hot Springs is located in downtown Steamboat and offers access to 3 hot mineral pools along with a fitness center, waterslide, sauna, and much more.

Hunting

Enjoy a great Colorado hunting experience. You can choose between Full Service and Drop Camp hunts. No matter which experience you choose, you will be assured of being deep in the wilderness in prime deer and elk habitat.  We recommend Del's Triangle 3 Ranch, Elk River Guest Ranch and Saddleback Ranch, each located 15 to 25 miles outside Steamboat in pristine ranch country, surrounded by wilderness
